SPRING APPEAL 2026

A letter from our CEO, Russell Winters

Dear Friends,

Earlier this year, 30 individuals who had been living on the streets of Cincinnati moved into safe homes of their own. Every apartment in Tender Mercies’ newest supportive housing building filled almost immediately. That reality is both hopeful—and sobering. It shows what’s possible… and just how many more people are still waiting.

Our new 30-unit building represents years of commitment to expanding supportive housing in our community. But what matters most is simple: 30 lives changed.

People like Gary, who once lived under a bridge and is now sober, stable, and proud to pay his own rent. People like Sara, who found her way back from addiction and homelessness to a home, a job, and renewed relationships. These transformations don’t happen alone. When someone moves into Tender Mercies, they gain more than a key. And there are more people still waiting for that chance.

Today, I’m asking for your help. Please make your Spring gift to Tender Mercies so more individuals can move from the uncertainty of the streets to the safety and stability of a home.

With gratitude,

Russell Winters - Chief Executive Officer
